Of course they found a way to make it lame. Just 3 skills? Having the special skill take up a skill slot sounds kinda dumb. They could have easily done what they did with Anodyne for mages where it's a utility skill and doesn't take up a skill slot, right? I do like your set up, though. Daggers for massive damage, bow for ranged and those stupid harpies and the staff for levitate. The versatility and all the possible combos makes it pretty interesting, though.
Being able to level up all the other vocations passively for the augments is definitely a plus. I'm a Magick Archer atm and I really miss levitate so that's nice as well. I might play around with it for a while. Feels like it would be worth it for the fashion alone. Might wait until I do NG++ which feels inevitable at this point.
