Stopped into a Gamestop last night to see if they had a copy of Wii Sports or Phoenix Wright (neither of which they had) and this giant red tour bus pulls up..."Big Bang" on the side of it. Big guy walks in with two other guys with him. Wearing a giant diamond encrusted watch and a Yankees cap. Also noticed he had tattoos all over his arms with a giant tribal tattoo. I recognized his face and his voice. He was asking for NBA 2K8 for PS3 (strangely they didn't have it). Had no idea who he was (as was the case with the other 2 people in the store and the 2 people working there), so I went up to him and asked his name. He shook my hand and told me "Mike." I told him I thought he was someone famous and he told me "the celebrity guy is still on the bus." I then proceeded to tell him I thought he was messing with me and asked him if they were performing in town (Springfield, MO) or just passing through. He told me they were passing through. I told them to have a safe trip and enjoy Springfield. He then told me to "have a blessed day." As I'm walking to my car, behind his tour bus, it says "Busta Bus" on the back and it dawns on me who it is...
I didn't go back in b/c he obviously was trying to avoid attention (I later found out Mike is nowhere near his real name). Get home and get on the net and look at a picture just to make sure, and certainly it was.
I don't listen to rap at all, but I was kicking myself afterwards for not going back in to get an autograph to bring on here and trade for the Wii Sports or PW I was looking for. Guess I got a neat story out of it. |

I can't tell you how many people would be busting down your door for an opportunity to trade their Wii Sports or Phoenix Wright for your AUTHENTIC BUSTA RHYMES AUTOGRAPH!

That story is kinda a stretch. I'd say meeting him is you actually knowing who he was and maybe bullcraping a bit. Oh and doing coke off a hooker's ass, that helps.

well if the bus said Big Bang on the side, wouldn't you assume that it is the hit Korean Hip Hop and R&B group? maybe the black guys with them were their managers? I mean they are on tour and they are currently going to Providence, RI

I never said he was touring, I do appreciate a website where I can come to, remain fairly anonymous, get 100% feedback for every trade I do, then post something interesting and get accused of lying about it...
Anyway, my wife said she watched the VMAs for a few minutes and he was on there...perhaps that is where he was going??? Go ahead (as is customary here) and tear that statment apart... |
