that's not really an upset, it was pretty much expected.

chuck was champ for so long cause there werent many contenders in the 205 wieght division....the only guy that had a chance really was randy coutour....now the 205 wieght class is getting bigger and better fighters....rampage.....wanderlie....rich franklin... and upcoming new fighters... it looks like chuck cant handle it any more and is probly gonna have to retire pretty soon cause i dont think chuck is really ever gonna get the belt back....looks like chucks career as a champ is over...... also the knockout from Rashad evans tonight was brutal.....chuck was unconcious facedown on the cage i think thats the 1st time he's been knocked completely unconcious....he was out when the fight was over for a long time.... i think he got back up after rashad was giving his speech with joe rogan

He has 3 loss in his last 4 fights, and of those were ko loss.

He made a big mistake you don't throw a uppercut from the outside.

Greg jackson gave rashed a great game plan and it worked, you dont go into that fight looking for takedowns cuse your not gonna get them from chuck, great right from rashed, title shot in december.

Chucks awesome but it's obvious he's on his way out. Rashad Evans isn't that great. He basically ran from Chuck for most of the fight and threw uncontrolled girlish looking punches until gettin the good right and knocking Chuck out. I don't see him going up against any of the big shots and succeeding.

The fight to watch for is in November. Randy Couture and Brock Lesnar. Lesnar's a fudging animal!

so you would just stand and trade with liddell, you my friend are an idiot if you think you would win like that. Chuck is not on his way out, if chuck would have won everyone would still be on his balls.

Hell no I wouldn't stand and trade punches with Liddell. Whether he is in fact getting old or not he's known as one of the best punchers in UFC. I'm not an idiot thank you very much for the mature insult, I'm a Chuck fan who's sad to see he's been losing quite frequently and it's obvious he's not the badass he used to be. Whether Chuck's on his way out or not I will always want to see him win, I'm a fan. If you would have seen the fight you'd know what I'm talking about. Rashad was throwing some horrible punches. He threw that one good punch and connected on a sweet spot. That's part of the sport, getting the right hit at the right time. Thing is, Rashad isn't going to always get that sweet spot and I don't think he's going to be able to take some of the younger big shots.

I'm confused by your statement because it's not really to well thought out. I never said what you're saying I said and then you're calling me names. I'm just stating my opinion. I was completely upset to see The Iceman get dropped, he's been my favorite for years now and it sucks to see him going downhill.

Saying Liddell is on his way out has nothing to do with standing with him trading punches. That doesn't even make sense JDay....

I think he's a Chuck fan and thinks I'm hating and he's getting defensive. In truth, I'm a huge Chuck fan and I was butthurt to see him get beat. I'm not happy admitting that his better days are way behing him but, it's obvious and there's no reason to argue otherwise.

Rashad evans is a good fighter i had a feeling he might have won last night and he did... yeah he has was runnning around and away from chuck 1st round i guess he was trying to feel him out...2nd round chuck tried to do the same thing but Rashad started throwing them punches right back at him then BAM!! chuck got it right on the chin and was out.....people need to respect Rashad he is pretty good i dont know if his champion material yet but he is not no one's walking stone....chucks fighting ways is not working with these new fighters in the 205 wight class either start added more to your arsenal or start thinking retirement.....just like matt hughs.....i dont think he will ever get the belt back from st pierre and he knows it too....so he announced he's retirement but wanted to fight matt serra before he retires good choice cause he was going down hill too....st pierre....thiago alves..... guessing he didnt want to retire with too many losses at the end of his career....

Rashad Evans is good but not UFC Elite good. Did you see the akward way he throws punches? Like a women.. He won i'll give him that respect because that was a good punch but eh... I think he beat a fading Legend.

yeah he was throwing some like wild hay makers.....but thats wanderlie fighting style and that took him to the top in pride... Rasahd was throwing wild ones but he was putting power into them if u payed close attetion...maybe he was doing that cause chuck's a big name and he didnt know what else to do....he wasnt impressive i give you that but i guess we will have to see how he does in his next fight

Yeah, you may very well be correct. I'm judgin him based on last nights fight. He did look scared of Chuck, maybe he was intimidated and made odd punch selections. Hey, girlie punches or not he ended up winning. That's all that matters, I'm just curious if that is his style how long it'll work.

Evans got lucky, if you watch he throws his left jab, misses and that wild right hook was just a freak accident. He closed his eyes, looked away, and threw... He got lucky on an exchange of punches... Liddell is still washed up tho

ok so everytime liddell gets knocked out or losses they got lucky or his wash-up....just face reality he cant handle the new upcoming talent thats how fighting goes you win some you lose some rashad didnt get lucky chuck liddell got too cocky and tried to be the aggresive fighter and look what it got him...thats what happened chuck got over confident and showed no respect for his opponet tried to stalk his opponet and get him cornered and he got knocked out in the process....chuck aint never gonna be ufc champ in UFC i think cause theres to many good fighters now un like before there was nobody really good thats why he kept winning so much....now the competition is getting better he cant handle the heat....

yeah...now when he retires he's gonna have alot of losses towards the end of his career...most fighters like to retire undisputed champ or maybe a loss or 2 towards the end of they're career to make them realize to hang the gloves and let the new generation take over

Chuck Liddell used to be good. He is going downhill. Rashad didn't beat the 'in his prime' Liddell. I don't think anyone can argue that. That's why I'm curious how far Rashad will go because based on last night he wasn't looking to good. Maybe it was just nerves due to fighting a UFC legend.

Yeah, he is 5-6 years past his prime... Any fighter than can do as well as Liddell or Couture in MMA at those ages will remain a legend....

Rashad deserves respect, every opponet he fights is a harder fight for him, liddell is of course past his prime but who isn't over 32. liddell is not washed out yet, all you got to do is think of one fighter Couture.

His beard was epic, but man is that a tremendous loss. Worst of all...

Tanner had recently started his own blog in association with SpikeTV.com.

"I've been sitting around this apartment, bored to tears, waiting on the last of the gear I need for the desert adventure to come in the mail. I've really been looking forward to getting out there," wrote Tanner. "It seems some MMA websites have reported on the story, posting up that I might die out in the desert, or that it might be my greatest opponent yet, etc. Come on guys. This isn't a version of "Into the Wild". I'm not going out into the desert with a pair of shorts and a bowie knife, to try to live off the land. I'm going fully geared up, and I'm planning on having some fun."
